OBADJIWAN-FORT-TÉMISCAMINGUE NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE
Here you are, eight kilometres from Ville-Marie. 6,000 years ago, the natives were already treading on this land full of history. The enchanted forest, named so because of the strange shapes that strong winds have given to the trees, gives you the impression of having been parachuted into another world.
You are walking along the magnificent pebble beach that borders Lake Témiscamingue with the impression that at any moment, a trapper carrying beaver pelts could appear... You are at the very place where the latter came to sell the fruits of their labour to the merchants and traders who then shipped them to Europe.
